Mystery Review: Borrower of the Night

Borrower of the Night: A Vicky Bliss Mystery

***2.5/5 stars

Art historian Vicky Bliss is tall, blonde, brainy, and hot on the trail of a missing 16th century masterpiece in a medieval (haunted?) German castle.

Recommended readers:

  • Fans of Elizabeth Peters
  • Fans of an independent, worthy heroine
  • History buffs

Here’s my Rankings:

  • 3/5 for characters
  • 2/5 for plot
  • 2.5/5 overall
  • 0/5 steaminess

REVIEW FROM BOOKS FOR HER:

Well, perhaps I was less than thrilled because she’s no Amelia Peabody, but I’m willing to give Vicky Bliss another try.  A nice light mystery- action-adventure, with trademark Elizabteth Peters humor.
