REVIEW FROM BOOKS FOR HER:

Sometimes it’s good to see the good girl get the guy, right? I mean most romances have the passionate, headstrong girl getting the guy – but what about the average girl. The one who’s always taking care of everyone else and never getting the attention she deserves. Well, Mary Jo Putney created this girl – only she’s not a boring, Cinderella heroine, she’s Athena Markham.

Despite not having your typical passionate storyline, there’s something special about creating the same masterpiece with a real, average girl romance – without the average girl feeling. Mary Jo Putney shows some versatility in Once A Soldier – and if you still wonder what I’m trying to explain, check it out for yourself. Shop all Mary Jo Putney on Amazon.

REVIEW FROM BOOKS FOR HER:

B.J. Daniels continues the Montana Hamiltons series as Cassidy Hamilton, the daughter of a presidential candidate, nearly gets kidnapped but cowboy Jack Durand stops it. Neither has any idea how entangled their story actually is. In a thrilling adventure that takes them across states, the two uncover something of their parents’ past and maybe something else. And if you like Into Dust, you’ll be happy to know it’s the first in the Montana Hamiltons Series – so more suspense is to come from the many characters.

REVIEW FROM BOOKS FOR HER:

The Harkner saga continues in Love’s Sweet Revenge, as Jake and Miranda and both children start to build the foundation of their family and ranch in the hills of Colorado. The families are hoping to build something safe, solid and great for children to come – but with so many enemies gained through the years with the desire for revenge, Jake must save himself, his son and their families.

I definitely recommend reading the previous Outlaw Hearts Series, as this book will spoil the plot in most of the previous books.

Wicked Intentions by Elizabeth Hoyt

With everything you love about historical romance, Wicked Intentions is a great kickoff to the Maiden Lane Series.

  • If you’re a fan of a come-back story in your romance
  • If you like Elizabeth Hoyt, Lisa Kleypas,  and Mary Balogh

Here’s my Rankings:

  • 3/5 for plot
  • 4/5 overall

REVIEW FROM BOOKS FOR HER:

The first of the Maiden Lane Series, Wicked Intentions  is slightly dark, slightly  wicked and passionate. Temperance runs a orphanage with her brother in St. Giles, one of the worst areas of London. She meets Lord Caire, who’s notorious for his wicked desires, and is searching for a savage killer. The two challenge each other constantly in their quest for a killer and their own redemption.

I actually read Wicked Intentions after several other Elizabeth Hoyt books – it was easily the darkest, most graphic of any of them.  After reading a series of Elizabeth Hoyt books recently, she’s easily in my top 10 favorite historical romance authors. Each book has a unique plots, but always includes what I love about historical romance – witty characters, come-back stories and overcoming the odds. And bonus: If you like this book, you’ll have a slew of other Maiden Series books to pick from. Shop all Elizabeth Hoyt Maiden Series on Amazon.

  • If you’re a fan of witty characters in your romance
  • If you like Elizabeth Hoyt, Lisa Kleypas,  and Mary Balogh

Here’s my Rankings:

REVIEW FROM BOOKS FOR HER:

A fabulous beginning, middle and end, Once Upon a Moonlit Night was full of action, romance and fun. If it were a full length book, I would have given it 4 stars – and my only complaint is that it was too short. As with any Elizabeth Hoyt book, Moonlit had witty characters and a great plot. And bonus: If you like Once Upon a Moonlit Night (which you probably will), you’ve got a slew of other Maiden Series books to pick from. Shop all Elizabeth Hoyt Maiden Series on Amazon.
