REVIEW FROM RYDER:
Ryder is 8 years old and starting 3rd grade. He loves to read lots of boy stories. Here is his unedited review:
A kid named Melvin meets robo toilet and destroys it and then goes back in time to get George and Harold and brings them back two weeks earlier and tells them that something bad is going to happen in the next few weeks. I would rate it a 10 out of 10 because it is super funny and has lots of action and adventure.
REVIEW FROM BOOKS FOR HER:
As with any book, if my child requests it and wants to read it … that’s an automatic 4 star review … a little easy, maybe. But Captain Underpants earns my little guy’s love, with its ridiculous funniness. I’m a fan of the silliness … after all don’t we all enjoy getting away from real life? The content may be a little on the PG side, less on the G side … so be aware. If you’re looking for safe, friendly reading go for Geronino Stilton. Despite this, I give a 4 star rating because the Captain Underpants is hilarious if you can put yourself in an early elementary child’s brain. I like the simple text of the book with graphics on each page – it’s a great early elementary style that’s not distracting to read.
