REVIEW FROM BOOKS FOR HER:
In this spellbinding and perilous story, the Grey sisters no matter what they do can’t get a break from the rule of their cousin Queen Mary Tudor. The Grey sisters – beautiful, flirtatious Elizabeth and clever, unassuming Mary – despite their many flaws, become a part of you. Elizabeth Fremantle distinguishes the over-written historical tale of the Tudors and the Greys by adding a lesser known character, royal portrait painter Levina Teerlinc, who brings fresh perspective to this dramatic tale of England’s history. It’s the same heartbreaking, political and treacherous story of the Grey sisters with a twist. I like Fremantle’s translation of this epic story; A recommended read!
