Althea Stanwick has fallen from society – and living in the dark side of London, working in a pub and strapping by, when she meets Benedict Trewlove. Benedict was orphaned and raised with his other siblings, all now influential in their own way (check out the other Lorraine Heath books in the series), while Benedict makes it his point to help others and comes up with a plan to get back into society her own way.
It’s easy to escape into the final novel of the Sins for All Seasons series, as the final Trewlove sibling struggles through love. Building passion, surprises from Benedict’s past and interpersonal struggles combine to make this a fast-reading, Victorian historical romance. If you love anything from Lorraine Heath, this is another winner. You may even want to add the other books in the series to your list.
