Once a Rebel by Mary Jo Putney

**** 3.5 stars: While lacking some passion, Once a Rebel will weave fiction and factual events of the Revolutionary War. Enjoy!

REVIEW FROM BOOKS FOR HER:

After escaping – albeit not with scars – her challenging English childhood, Callista finds herself in Washington DC as the city burns from Revolutionary War struggles. At a time when desperation was near, she encounters someone from her childhood. As she struggles with her country of old and adopted country, Callista must overcome many pasts. A sweet romance and interesting Revolutionary War plot make Mary Jo Putney’s latest an enjoyable read. While the passion may be a little lacking, like many historical romances you’ll enjoy the plot as it weaves through fictional and factual events in history.
