REVIEW FROM BOOKS FOR HER:

A Memory of Muskets follows the popular parallel storyline convention of  historical mystery plus present-day mystery solvers, but this steps it up a notch with an extra present-day murder mystery.  Muskets is seventh in a mystery series about historic sites curator Chloe Ellefson and her cop-boyfriend Roelke McKenna, who navigate their relationship and their own jobs as very different people. As a history buff and historic sites person myself, I enjoyed the attention to the details of historic sites problems and Civil War reenacting, but would have enjoyed it much more had I read the previous books.
