REVIEW FROM BOOKS FOR HER:

Tangled Up in You by Christina Lauren is a playful, heartfelt reimagining of Tangled. Ren Gylden has lived a sheltered, self-sufficient life off the grid, and when she steps into college, everything feels new and strange. Fitz, a senior with secrets, ends up entwined in Ren’s world after a class assignment turns into an unexpected road trip. Sparks fly, barriers break down, and both characters are pushed to grow in surprising ways.

Ren’s innocence is handled with tenderness rather than naiveté, and Fitz’s protective shell gradually gives way under Ren’s warmth and curiosity. The pacing slows a bit when adjusting to modern life, and the ending ties things up briskly, but overall the book balances humor, sweetness, and fairy-tale nostalgia beautifully. It’s a delightful read for fans of Christina Lauren’s voice or contemporary retellings of classic stories.
