When shy, bookish Sara from Sweden arrives in Broken Wheel, Iowa to meet her pen pal, she discovers that Amy recently died, leaving a gaping hole in an already dying little town.  With nothing else to do, Sara tries to keep Amy alive by starting a new bookstore with her beloved books– in a town where nobody seems to read.   No one in town is quite sure what to do with her and her bookstore (least of all Tom, Amy’s staid nephew), but it soon becomes clear that nobody wants her to leave.  Charming and whimsical and full of little everyday human follies and triumphs, The Readers of Broken Wheel Recommend is the perfect book for dissolving a bad mood.  Loved it!
